Mary L. Mack

Mary is an artist, sailor, inventive chef and R.N. with a wide range of interests and a curiosity that leads her to explore. She loves to travel and see how other people live and learn about their culture, food, music and art. She loves the beauty of nature as well as man-made art, being on and in the water, along with music and dance. Much of her time is spent outdoors gardening, hiking, sailing and diving.

Her art work began as oil painting in her youth. Later she worked in water colors, loving the flow and personality of the medium. Moving into jewelry art seemed natural. Part of the allure is the evolving nature of the art and her jewelry as she explores this medium.  Now, the body is the canvas with each piece appealing to a different mood or personality. “Jewelry can energize, calm or uplift you and those around you”. At the least it can make you smile.

Mary’s goal is to make jewelry that is both beautiful and flattering to the wearer, allowing the natural beauty of the elements to shine.

The jewelry is both casual and elegant, often with a sense of whimsy. Some pieces are romantic and delicate with clean lines. Others are bold with brilliant hues. Precious and semiprecious stones and fresh water pearls become one of a kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets in Mary’s hands. Creating these treasures is a pleasure. The hope is that you find even more pleasure in wearing them.
